It's how you get triangles from a cow: buttermilk and cheese and a reciprocating chainsaw!

Off to the LBS to trade the Sybian Punisher for something with gel and scrote channels. \:D/

Let us know what you pick and how you get on with it.

Got a Selle FLX. Boingy! Arse too bruised to be sure yet but the battering is over at least.

Last 800+ miler I did was on a Ti railed B17. Steel rails are just as good though, there's still 2 old B17s in the shed. Thundercrackers inside out to keep the seams off the skin, cheap Lidl shorts with barely any padding. Can't beat old fashioned leather, all this padded roadie junk just causes Betty Swollocks & pain. Spurn the Brooks! Turn towards the light!

Glad you and your underbits are back on the road, Munky.

I may be but I'm offline and sans phone - the bloody thing won't recognise that there's a charger connected. Probably a warranty job, so I'll be hitting the backstop plastic hard tomorrow to get something in town. Solo without emergency phone is a bit too daft for me.

I'm in the YHA in Bristol waiting for rescue :)

On other news, today's short day was mostly spent lollygagging around Chew Valley lake and pushing the bike up hills. Yay!

Epic blag: I has an iPhone :)

Now in Cinderford. Bristol was nice (and busy), the Severn Bridge was a hoot and the Wye valley was a rolling wooshy fun palace... Then the Forest and hills, hills, hills!

Saturday was Crewe-ish to Preston. I joined up for the bit from Knutsford to Preston, ride report on Livejournal. Sunday was his rest day, brought forward a day as his knee was playing up. Yesterday he rode up the A6 towards the Lake District and stayed at the Kirkstone Pass Inn.

Good report Shifty. Epic fun in the thunderstorm, that's par for the course on a long journey, but I wouldn't like to do 80 miles on no food!
