Is there some Tea on the go?

Been very busy. Had a back op, so that's buggered my Uni course up a bit. I had to stop and I will re-start again on 31st January. It was a keyhole op and they didn't need to send me to sleep. The end result of ThaiBoxing and coming off my snowboard on too many occasions. I had the Ipod on while the surgeon did the rest.

Was only in for a day. NHS food is really shit. :bleurgh: I asked one of my mates to bring a MacD with him. :claps:

As I had a few weeks off and I'm not due back at work until later this week, I took advantage of a stupidly cheap flight to Thailand to see my other half and chill for those few weeks. Sending this e-mail from Muscat airport en route home to snowy Aberdeen.

So, how has everyone been? Looking forward to Crimbo?

There's always tea mashing if I'm around.

Hope the back op has solved your problems and that you're back to fully operational mode. Getting to Thailand probably helped the healing process immensely. :)

Depends on what he got up to in Thailand!

I'm having severe issues with the work webfilter randomly classing threads on here as offensive and tasteless, for no reason that I can see -- for instance I can read this thread just fine, and use the quick reply, but if I try to use the full editor I get blocked.

Anyway. Hope your recovery is swift and smooth, Cookie. You've missed all the snow. More due at 3am on Thursday, apparently.

Sam

Hospital food must be bad if MacD is a better alternative! :feast:

I think we can make a fair guess.

May not be specified on the aftercare leaflet for the operation, but being with the loved one is a definite plus for recovery.

You really, really wouldn't want an NHS sausage. Really.

Microwaved pinkthing. You're right, I wouldn't!

(I have to fix the kitchens' menu software occasionally, and it's a faff because it was written by Gorilla Grodd to inspire despair, and after each trip they offer me a pudding. Mmm, pudding. Mmm, 15p a portion? How good can a pudding that costs one bite of a marsbar be?)

I've never yet met a sausage I couldn't be friends with. So to speak. Even those weird Irish ones that contain more than their own weight in fat, yet retain both shape and size once cooked.

In that case Chuffy you've never encountered a Norwegian pølse.

I've never before encountered a foodstuff with acne. :bleurgh:

Hmmm, nor have I, and have scoffed quite a few pølse (in Norway) (and no, that's not a euphemism :-$). I certainly don't remember any pustules .

Acsherly, the ones that I gavaged were in patato cake things, so I probably wouldn't have noticed...

But anyway, my hunt for a perfect sausage picture unearthed this beauty:
