Right, that's the presents wrapped - barring a bit of ironing, packing and weapons-grade faffing, I'm all set to head off to my folks for the weekend this afternoon.

Apparently I'm supposed to be cooking dinner tomorrow, though it's going to be venison rather than turkey with all the trimmings... what could possibly go wrong?

Venison is nice raw. :)

Happy Chrimbletide one and all!

I'm riding crosscountry to the chilly beach of chilly death to have my bike nicked while I freeze my nards off in a speedo. :D

Loon!

We too are cooking Christmas dinner for the parents.

Well. Most of it is done already.

Off tomorrow to meet with various bits of family. No Christmas dinner fettling for us.

Enjoy your day everybody, including the estimable Jarvis.

Happy Thing to one and all.

Harpy Chrimbletide one and all!

We've not eaten our meal yet...Chuffy is slaving over a hot stove. Had a lovely walk on the snowy beach and am pondering what to snack on next.

I am now recovering from a suitable amount of goose, washed down with Rioja and am hiding upstairs while MrsC watches East Enders.
Pudding may happen later, or possibly for breakfast!

Merry Christmas to all!

We had a lovely time in Perthshire with a suitably delicious, traditional repast. Now back at work and feeling the gloom of an empty office with very little to do.

Hope Santa was good to everyone!

Santa was very good - a load of CDs, cognac, whisky, lots of wine...

Oh, and a bottle of mead -it's not compulsory to quaff the stuff from the skull of a vanquished taxi driver, is it?

Having a far too relaxed time here, having done the family obligations.

Been winding up to going out for a ride.

Well I've put on 1/2 a stone  must have been that Christmas pud I looked at!
Mrs H dragged me to DFS to buy furniture, so we're skint and I've just cleaned the tourer ready for work next Wodensday - the brakes need fettling and the freehub has so much play it'll probably fall apart before February. Fortunately there's a spare in the shed.
Anybody tried Black Grouse? They've finally made a blended whisky from Islay. :c+tongue: :faint: Lagavulin it ain't but at £13 a bottle it's less than 1/3 the price. \:D/
