I’m riding a 200k audax tomorrow, but if I wake up in my wee tent at 6am and the wind, rain and chill are anything like they are today, I might be tempted to give it a miss… I may be a card-carrying ‘Super Randonneur’, but I’m a wimp at heart!

The route goes about 3 miles from my front door just after the lunchtime control, so that’s another temptation…

Frankly, if the rain is going sideways, or upwards, then I'd cancel.

Crikey!

I'm not cycling ANYWHERE in this wind - the chestnut trees look like they might take flight, never mind a human!

'Twas a touch damp & breezy up on Curbar Edge. Unfortunately we were walking. At least the Gate Inn was selling Thornbridge Jaipur on handpump when we staggered through the door. :drinkers: \:D/
