Hi guys

I have joined after some persuassion by my partner Shen.

We ride tandem when he is at home otherwise I have just taken up this cycling lark. Only up to 35 miles a week, but I have been doing it for about 3 weeks now.

I live in Leicestershire and if anyone out there is local to me I would love to have a pal to go out with when Shen is away at work.

The first three weeks are the worst ;)

Welcome to the Clubhouse, and welcome to cycling!

Cycling's insiduous. Once the novelty wears off you realise you're addicted.

The moment you find yourself absolutely certain that there's nothing more justified than buying another bike, then you know all hope is lost.

But the company is good :smug: .

Hello you! Any chum of Shen's is more than welcome.:smug:
We're down in Devon, so not ideally placed for buddy-rides, sorry. Good luck though, it might be worth contacting your local CTC (Cyclists Touring Club) as they do social rides at a sensible pace. In the meantime, stick around. If you give Jarvis a call down the speaking tube I'm sure he'll bring you a beverage of choice and a selection of nibbles.

Only 35 miles a week?

God... I'm remembering to commute by bike some of the time and I HATE cycling for 'fun' in London. So I've taken one bike 'home' to Yorkshire, in the vain hope I'll get my lardy ass off the the chair and on to a bike sometimes!

That nice Emilio chap and I are thinking we might do some Tri training this autumn though - so perhaps I'll end up fit more by luck than good judgement!
