Why on Earth does custard have to be yellow?

Ridiculous state of affairs. I think it's possible to have any colour custard as required - it's the taste and texture wot am be important.

When I were a lad the ancients produced custard in a variety of colours, pink,brown, more or less anything bar green (I think). So did Spen eat it all? =D> :mrgreen:

We had green custard. It was usually mint flavoured and went with chocolate sponge cake.
