Now that the C+ forum has been locked up and closed down, I no longer feel that I'm being disloyal by contributing to another cycling forum. I have changed my username though, from kev67 to Yellow Fang. I gave myself a dull username at C+ and then realised I couldn't change it without losing my post count. Yellow Fang refers to my erstwhile physical appearance before I bleached my teeth. It's no longer quite so apt, but I still like the name.

Hello..

I'm sure others will be along shortly to welcome you, but make yourself at home and see if people are hanging out in the bar...

Cheers, the lyric was one of Woody Guthrie's, not Donnie Osmond, Atomic Kitten or Ned's Atomic Dustbin.

See, now Ned's Atomic Dustbin was a great band name.

Dammit! Where in the hell did I put the genius that was the Great Munky Band Name Generator?

And welcome sir. I thought Yellow Fang was a character in some great epic or the other involving a canine.

And no, I don't mean Old Yeller  .

Sam

That was White Fang. Saved the township of Nome, didn't he? Spawned the Iditabike?

Or was that Balto, the Dog Curry?

There was a book called White Fang by Jack London. I think he was part wolf. IIRC he used to be put in dog fights, which he always won until he was put into a fight with a bulldog, who clamped him round the neck and wouldn't let go. I can't remember anything else about it, but it was a good book.
