I've pulled a small number of entries from the banlist in order to make life a bit easier for potential bona fide members using AOL, hotmail, gmail and yahoo email addresses. I'd originally effected some selective banning of certain name structures after a rash of spam registrations using those domains, but in light of some people elsewhere being unable to register, I'm willing to take a chance.

I'm probably going to have to do some further tweaking in order to make things easier should any domains on the list need to be un-banned, as per cookiemonster's situation recently. This may involve having to clear the entire banlist, and re-submit an edited version, Hopefully, no spammers will get through in the short interim, but you have been warned.

Be alert!

Your club house needs lerts...

There are some pretty good anti spam mods available at the moment.

Agreed, but methinks that installation of such things is most probably a matter for Sam.

It involves installing things.

That's scary.

I struggle to get the back-up to work!

I've updated the banlist - trimming it by nearly two thirds. Be interesting to see if spambot registrations continue to replicate yer average bus service (I.e. nothing for ages, then three turn up at once).

Amusingly, having cleared the original banlist, the database is displaying the new list in reverse order to how I submitted it... :-k
