I can has tattoo!

Getting it done:

The finished article:

Although it's hard to tell from those shots, it's in non-outlined deep brown - the colour of birthmarks and moles, Jadzia Dax's spots - I dig the idea that it might look almost as if the physics has expressed itself in my skin. Though, on reflection, the leg itself is pretty much an emergent property of a quarter-century of bike riding anyway. :)

And now I don't have to wake up from a typesetter's nightmare every night to grip the lapels of my minion's labcoat and rave, "Oh God, Carruthers, the kerning -- that damnable inhuman kerning!"

He's good - won a "best in show" at Halloween too (in the world-famous Newton Abbott Tattoo Fest). He was a pencil and pen sketcher as a kid, so his shaded stuff and blackwork is all very nice. He's got about 40% coverage of a lady in HR, but the subject matter on her is too cheesy to appreciate the skill.

And he's very reasonably priced, too!

It was quite amusing watching a sci-fi geek trying to explain to a D&D geek the exact colour required using the medium of a character on DS9....

Good work though.

This means nothing to me,
Burnt Sienna!

With apologies to Ultravox & Mick Simmons who did the swirly keyboard bits.

Oh Vienna! :-({|=

He very wisely just showed me his brown inks and told me to take my pick.

Still, it's come to something when a tattooist and his girlfriend go on his 'n' hers WoW raids. How sweet!

Nice :c+cool:
Thinking about a new one myself, would love a large one on my back but the price is a bit much  .
Might end up going for the kids names, 3 on each lower arm in some weird text style (too common?). Or one with all their initials incorporated in it on my upper arm.

Rich.

I've seen kids' names done in their own early handwriting, which is ever so cute (though could be embarrassing in later life).

Hang on, you have six kids?

Big pieces spread the cost over a visit a month. You just need to buy slightly fewer bike parts...

 Yes I've got 6  I've also now got a telly for something else to do in the evenings.

Have seen some larger pieces that I could get an artist friend to design for me, but as you can guess christmas can be a little expensive so money is the problem.

Rich.
