Is anyone interested in reading more or, should I find some time to write some more based on our current complement, would you be politely biting your tongue and gritting your teeth so as not to type a message saying "Oh FFS, shut the f___ up, Sam!"

If you're not interested but don't mind ignoring the thread, that's cool. If you are interested (one way or the other), let me know. I honestly will not take offence either way.
Sam

I'd be interested in some Chronicle action.

Well OK - I'd like to know how it might all have ended ('cos I think you had a Plan ...?) - but not at any cost. Continuing in the same style with the same scattered cast list seems increasingly academic* as time goes by.

The thing that made the Chronicles enjoyable for me is/was your writing style - the roman à clef thing was fun, even though frankly a lot of the SF/fantasy references were over my head.

If I were you (and obviously I'm not) I'd be tempted to say to hell with it - and allocate any writing time you've got to do more of the sort of thing you did for the last .citycycling, or something new.

If there's still a Chronicles itch, maybe a deus ex machina papyrus fragment could wrap it all up neatly?

Oh, there was a plan.

The plan could so easily be wrapped up in installments and drip-fed as an ongoing sub-plot, what with A-Time being non-linear.

I liked the real life in a fantasy wrapper too. It was one of the reasons I carried on as long as I did.

I have hypergraphia. I write hundreds if not thousands of words every day. Coming up with 2000 once a month for the Chronicles wouldn't impact on any other writing I'm doing. It would just add to the variety.

There is, however, no point in trying to carry on with the old cast and I don't want to write it if most people don't want to read it.

If people don't want to read it they don't have to, if you want to write, then write for you not anyone else.

I would assume judging by the volume of previous output that it's something you enjoy doing, so you decide.

Tom.

Oh dear this sounds like it's my fault!
I always enjoyed the Chronicles, if you have a good idea then go for it. I suspect the previous one may be best left as an unfinished symphony because it carries too much baggage, written or otherwise but you're the writer.....

I'm in two minds right now.

I think a re-reading of the current volume, taking into account what has happened in the virtual world over the last two years is required before I come up with a more detailed response.

I don't think I've ever been in any Chronicles before....

I'll read anything, me!

(Don't know if that came out sounding like a compliment or the opposite :-# )

I've missed the Chronicles. As others have said, the previous cast is scattered (which makes me sad when I re-read it) but I used to love seeing people I 'knew' having adventures. It's your call RB but if you want to write some more I would love to see it. It was always edgy. Oh, it was good, it really was.
