Its a Monday. I have no idea what shift I'll be working, but as long as that doesn't stop me, I shall try to be there.

We need suggestions for a venue. Preferably somewhere reasonably central.

I'm finishing work at 7pm that day. If you are planning a time I can make it, that would be good.

Suggestions depend on what sort of pub you fancy, I suppose. Teuchters, Brass Monkey, Cloisters, somewhere else?

Oh 'eck!!

I almost forgot about this.

Anyhoo, I will be around from about 8-ish, I haven't thought of a venue yet so I will leave that to the Embra crowd
.

RJ regrets (skint, head full of snotters), but can recommend: Cloisters [Tollcross]; Teuchters [West End - a tad douce??]; Guildford Arms [close to Waverley].

The Haymarket [funnily enough, close to Haymarket station] is OK, too.

I'm totally skint too, but I'm ignoring that, I can stretch to a couple of beers.

I won't just be a bit skint I'll be a bit knackered as well as that is the day I fly in from Thailand.

But, it'll be good to put a face to some of the names here. 8)

I wish I could. Unfortunately, at the moment, for reasons too dull to go into, "a couple of beers" normally get calssified as an unnecessary (and therefore unaffordable) luxury and so don't get drunk.

Whihc is a pity as I like (1) drinking beer and (2) drinking beer in company. But hey.

Like I said, RJ *regrets*.

Have fun, one and all (in other circumstances I'd do my best to be there).

Thats a shame. Maybe next time. :)

So, Cloisters at 8pm? That'll probably give me time to go home and everything. Which will be really handy if its raining, turning up in soaking gear and getting changed in the pub toilets isn't my idea of a good start.

Ooooh. 8? :?

That's late. I finish at half three. I have no idea what I'd do in between times and I had have to rush off to catch a train back to Fife not long after.

Oh dear. I can't get to any pub until 7.30 at the earliest, 8pm if its raining, and cookie isn't available until 8pm either.

I'd love a 3.30pm finish. But my work hates me too much.

Ouch.

Well, I'll be in the Cloisters anyway. I'll have my lovely black Rapha winter cap (hipster, I know), and I'll probably be reading unless I recognise anyone.

I have no idea what cookie looks like, I hope he spots me. If not I guess I shall get his number from RB and see which phone rings in the pub.
