I've quite squittled enough thanks :o

I have a race, er, halfway benchmark, er, timed training session with lots of other bodies on the 10th...

Excellent!

I'm on a Bianchi tourer, in celeste & looking a bit battered these days (the bike, not me, I'm just old). If it's raining, I'll be in a retina-burning fluorescent orange waterproof. silver/white Met lid. My cycling associate, Sarah, will be on a grey & pale blue Condor road bike. We are mardling on the day as we haven't been on the bikes enough recently to feel confident of doing the squit in the allotted time frame. So we've wimped out and are mardling together.

I often have no iea what I'm talking about!

On Saturday coming are two audax events starting in Norwich. The Old Squit is a 200km ride and the Norfolk Mardle is the 100km on the same day. I was planning to squit, but not having been on the bike *enough* over the last couple of months, I'm not confident of completing the squit in the allotted time frame, so am wimping out and mardling instead.

Norfolk dialect:
squit = to talk nonsense
mardle = to natter, chat.

In this household, squits are what the cat does when she's got a dodgy belly.
