 Post subject: A Norfolk Tweedy?
PostPosted: Wed Apr 02, 2008 4:42 pm
Emilio, our gallant globe trekker, has indicated that he would be VERY keen to take up young Ms Wafflycat's suggestion of a Rational Dress/Tweedy Ride in Norfolk or similarly flat country upon his return from the Raj...

Ideas anyone on WHEN/HOW and IF such an event might be organised, from where to where and who might be encouraged to join such larks?

Anyone??

I'm up for a Norfolk ride, but on no account will I ride through Kings Lynn inna dress.

I live near Ely and it's dead flat round here - and really boring. If you fancy doing Downham Market to Sandringham, I'm familiar with the route. And you're never more than 8 miles from a mainline station.

I work Saturday mornings until 10.30, so would prefer a Sunday ride.

I'll be putting my thinking cap on today as to the sort of places that could be included in a route.

Oh yes

What we're looking at is two bents as a 'system' to put together for events, but available to ride 'solo' if taken apart, so that's a cracking link.

Thank you!

Ah, should have read this before the gallery.

That's not difficult to do and we have done it with uprights before

Waffles... did you get anywhere with plans?

I *believe* that young Emilio may be back amongst us and there *have* been signs of spring in recent days..

Oh, and I have a PICNIC BASKET of the china plates and real glass glasses and napkins etc variety.. It needs an excuse.

And preferably a sociable - built or acquired, I don't mind!
