If I have finished needing to dash to the bathroom every 20 minutes...

Also our car is trashed, Food has just discovered he's managed to strip the threads on Ivanhoe's steerer tube (what a silly boy) and, um, well, GT may not be a goer this weekend for various reasons. If I'm back on my feet the pub sounds like a potential win, though. Um. Although we'll need to find Frood another bike.

I can pub Friday after I finsih work at 8, or Saturday.

I have most of a Langster if Frood fancies it. It lacks a headset. Specifically the bearings from a Specialized Mindset. Which is the only headset it will take. And no back brake either. Or pedals.

Frood doesn't ride fixed, otherwise he'd be on Blackbird.

So picky  .

Pffft. I could give him it singlespeed with no rear brake. But that wouldn't be entirely sensible.

I've discovered (been reminded) that I'm going out for dinner on Saturday night. How does Friday night suit people? Pub to be decided* once I know if anyone is coming.

Having probs at the moment with my shoulder (many times dislocated) giving me jip so mountain biking is out for me at the moment, and my wife is due to pup any day now so don,t think vanishing to diggers would be appreciated.

It would be good to meet up sometime pre xmas though, for a festive coffee and mincemeat pie or whatever. If she has the baby soon I'll be on to try to arrange something over the next couple of weeks if you are up for it.

T

Sam, I've got some forks in the garage which might be of use in the short term not great quality but would keep him on the road for now what dimensions steerer and thread length is needed.

It's a Dawes Galaxy. 1" threaded. Not sure how long the threads need to be, though.

I'm still on plain rice and boiled water (you don't want to know what happens if I try to eat anything else). What's everyone doing NEXT weekend?

Or how about arranging something for Solstice? It's 21st this year, the Sunday, and I'm sure we can organise something to do with ceremonial feeding of the Traffic Light Goblins. That's plenty of notice for everyone, right?

I'm off from the 20nd to the 27th, so that would work for me.

Madam has ones sympathy - down here everyone I know has lungs full of pepper. Trying to ride uphill leads to spewing the ring up. :vom:

I have a couple of spare upright bikes & my significant other would be happy if they resided elsewhere. One of them is a single speed, but there's a fairly lovely cross bike with gears and stuff (at least that's what they told me when I bought it)...

It'd need picked up since I can't ride them them funny upwrong cycles any more (hence the reason they're spare). It's currently living in a cupboard in a flat in East Glasgow. It's for sale at the mo, but I'd rather that it was used than sat unused & unloved...

Shout if it'd be of use

Thanks for the offer, Rich, but Glasgow is a mite far for us to travel to pick up the bike.

I think Frood's going to steal Max for a while. I keep offering him Blackbird but he's having none of it.

Well I'm going out on the 21st to feed the TLGs, and since you lot insist on living in the wrong place, I shall be going alone. Ha.

Um. The Diggers is very close to you and miles from us. Depends on whether Frood gets his forks changed or not. They have arrived, but I need to take them to the shop.

Any other suggestions?

Sam

Something more central is fine, the Bow Bar? Or anything you want really.
