I have a burfday approaching &, having been injured for one of my two big rides for this year, I thought that organising a pleasant wee ride might be fun.

I'll be 21 25 30 33 *counts on fingers (then toes)* 35 on May 22nd which is a Friday. I might have a hangover on the 23rd, so is anyone up for something on the 24th May? I could re-arrange things & go out on the Sat evening if 23rd is easier, but would prefer the Sunday....

Starting at Croy seems a reasonable halfway house so I was thinking of either heading up the Tak Ma Doon, across the Carron valley & over the Crow Road, like this (a not safe for fixies route), or an altogether flatter route & heading up to Stirling or Falkirk & some pubs.

Or suggest alternative routes...

I'm up for anything from 40km upwards. I have an evil, lumpy 160km route stored, but it might be considered training for the Dumb Run

Sadly we're off to Southampton that weekend.

It's a birthday party for our old morris dancing side.

Otherwise I'd be well up for it.

I'm racing this weekend but will probably be looking to get a long ride in next weekend.

The weekend after next may or may not be my working weekend, but my rota is changing & I'm not sure... Saturday is more likely to be good then Sunday for me, but I'll know tomorrow when I check my rota (damn & I just missed getting the manager post today where I could have made up my own rota!). I can always ask to get the day off if needed...

I can always pretend that I have a burfday next weekend & accelerate the candles-on-bar-end-shifters fettling. No-one will know if I edit my first post!

How far is "a long ride"? I have plenty of routes around the central belt that are fun & vary in length & lumpiness. As long as we avoid Redstane Rigg, I'm happy...

(Morris dancing in Southampton? I always thought that it was a bit less urban)
