Count me in. A group buy would be a good idea, shall we go early, get tickets and then a beer?

What's the sushi bar like on Lothian Road? Frood and I won't have time to go home for tea if we're going early to get tickets.

Sushi instead of beer?

How early is 'getting there early'? I can probably get home, changed and back in for 7.30 (including a bite to eat). Will definitely be me, possibly me+1.

Will be back in with the car I'm afraid - I have no desire to chain the bike up on lothian Road!

I wouldn't know where to begin to look for car parking.

I probably could manage home, changed, bite to eat and back out for 7:30 too, but Frood doesn't finish until 6. I dunno. We'd be coming back out by bike anyway, I guess. He's got a tatty old Dawes and I'll be bringing Blackbird and we have good locks.

It was Will who said "early". I don't know what he had in mind.

That's the problem I have, the hack bike is still in bits (a tatty old Dawes as it happens). Mind you, that might be the kick up the backside I need to wrestle out the bottom bracket tonight.... First I need to install the hefty vice....

I'm off work until Thursday. It'd just be nice to get a beer or food beforehand. If it doesn't fit with peoples plans, then we can just see what people want to do afterwards.

Fits in fine with ours.

If Anth wants to be a stick in the mud because he hasn't put his hack bike back toegther yet, then we won't hold it against him   .

I'm not off on Thursday, but I will just have come off standby. I fancy sushi.

Just name your time. Kirsty should be able to come along too, especially if there is talk of sushi. :)

Frood says he can get out at half five.

So when do you want to get tickets and when do you want to eat?

Anth, if you like we can get your ticket(s) so you don't have to rush around to meet us.

You're nasty nasty people - if I take the good bike and it gets nicked it would be your fault y'know!

If you're meeting for food what sort of time would that be? I might be able to make it round in time. I've not managed to convince Mel that she should really see this movie, but might have a mate along for moral support in case I really can't stand you all in real life... *

*actually, he'd professed a desire to see the movie....

We are NOT nasty people. We're not saying you should bring your good bike (even if you could sandwich it between Blackbird and Ivanhoe where it would be protected). We're even offering to buy your tickets (on the presumption that you'd pay us back later, natch... 8) ). We're all lovely people. I should know. I've met all of us. I am one of us :smug: :c+kiss: .

Food? Oh. I dunno. Half sixish? Seven? I don't know how long it would take to get served sushi. Will's the man with the knowledge. We need to get the tickets either beforehand (I can get out early and buy all of them and you can all pay me back if you like -- be warned, I like the comfy seats) or eat early enough that we have time to buy them after.

Sam (no longer on stand-by. WOOHOO!)

Now I only have your word for that don't I Sam.... ;)

I'm unlikely to be able to make food (forgot about the fact that Mel was back on the bike today to work and I've basically been escorting her till she's comfy with riding the route herself so have to go and fetch her after work).

Will get in as early as possible though and gatecrash.

And if you're feeling nice a couple of tickets would be super and I'll get you the cash when we arrive (me and my mate Iain).

I say half six, just because I'm not doing anything. And better to be too early than too late.

Want me to book a table? Kirsty, me, RB, Frood, BPoaB (I'm calling you all by your real names from now on)?

OK. Half six. Sure. You could book a table. I was planning on hanging on here until about half five but I don't think I can cope. I'm too tired. I'll probably head to town at about four and mooch. I'll let Frood know.

BPoaB: I'll get your tickets. I'll text you the seat numbers.
